Every time we interact with another person we form a cord of attachment with them, from the grocery store checker, to the person in front of us on the road, to our closest and dearest friends. Each person affects another. We each have the ability to refuse to be corded to another person. Being corded to too many people can have a draining effect on our energy. It is a good idea to release these cords on occasion. The cords are connected at our chakras or energy centers and bind us to this other person. The energy centers are located at: the crown of the head, the third eye (between the eyebrows), the throat, the heart, the solar plexus, the spleen and the base (tailbone). We also have energy centers in both of our hands and feet.
When we release these cords, or de-cord our energy centers, our auras are much clearer and we can live more productively.
Cords Of Connection
There are seven chakras or energy centers in which we cord with other spirits.
Cord Of Healing
The Cord of Healing is located at the crown of the head. It is our connection to the healing energy of spirit. The energy flows through all of our energy centers helping to align our chakras and heal our souls. When we are blocked to spirit this is the chakra which must be brought into balance.
Chakra - Crown
Gland - Pineal
Color - White
Cord Of Language
The Cord of Language is located at the Third Eye or between the eyebrows. It is a telepathic communications link between two or more spirits as they converse. This is what the spirits see when we are speaking to or thinking of another person. This is why when we are thinking of someone that person may call us on the phone or mail us a letter saying that they were just thinking of us. This happens because they have tuned into that telepathic link that we have initiated. When this chakra is not in balance our psychic vision, dreams, or perceptions may be effected.
Chakra - Third Eye
Gland - Pituitary
Color - Purple
Cord Of Retribution (Cord Of Honesty)
The Cord of Retribution connects at our throat chakra. It is initiated when we verbally communicate with a spirit or an incarnate. When this chakra is not in balance we may experience throat problems or communication issues.
Chakra - Throat
Gland - Thyroid
Color - Blue
Cord Of Transference
We have an infinite connection to all life. This is known as the Cord of Transference and is a cord that connects individual spirits to one another if they have formed a strong bond with each other. This is often why we have the feeling we have known someone for years even though we have just met. This cord connects our heart to the hearts of those we love. When this chakra is not in balance we may experience problems with our immune system or our heart. It may also indicate a lack of love or compassion.
Chakra - Heart
Gland - Thymus
Color - Green
Cord Of Light
Each soul has what is called a Cord of Light that connects us always to our Creators. We are a part of God and must remain eternally attached. Our Cord of Light is connected through our solar plexus. Just as an umbilical cord connects a child to its mother, so we are connected to God in Heaven. A Dark Soul's cord is still attached, however, it is much diminished and does not glow the way a White Soul's cord does. A White Soul will continue to grow strong for God and therefore will increase the light within their soul. When this chakra is not in balance it may manifest as anger, or frustration, or our instincts may not be as accurate.
Chakra - Solar Plexus
Gland - Adrenal
Color - Yellow
Cord Of Intuition
This is our creative energy, our instinctive nature, our deeply rooted belief system. If this chakra is not in balance it may manifest as sexual guilt or inhibition, or we may experience problems with reproduction. We may have trouble connecting with others, or even with our own inner being.
Chakra - Spleen
Gland - Adrenal, Spleen and Liver
Color - Orange
Cord Of Development
This chakra helps to keep us grounded in our physical environment. It lends us a sense of belonging and security in the world around us. When this chakra is not in balance we may feel detached or out of control. It is important to clear this energy center and realign ourselves with our present circumstances.
Chakra - Base
Gland - Gonads and Ovaries
Color - Red
De-Cording
To de-cord you will want to mentally envision each energy center one at a time and imagine yourself pulling out the cords. Most of them should come out easily. Start at the crown of your head and proceed downward. The heart is the only place I allow people to cord me and only if those people are giving, loving, and reciprocating. Anything else will be a drain on your energy. When you release the cords to your heart, let go of the ones which come out easily. Next, think of all the people who play a major role in your life and make a decision as to whether they are healthy relationships for you. The ones which are not may be released by mentally telling that person that you do not wish to be corded with them, that they may deal with you in the physical world, and that you lovingly allow them release. Many people will feel this detachment and may attempt to cord with you again. You may feel this as a small shock to your heart. If this happens mentally tell whoever is trying to cord you that you will only allow a loving relationship back in, otherwise refuse them. You may receive mail or phone calls from these people as they attempt to connect with you. Stand firm. You do not need people draining your energy. They cannot cord you if you are unwilling.
Cord Activation
Next, envision the main chakras which run down the middle of your body. Starting at the base chakra begin spinning a red light in a clockwise direction, like a small whirlpool. Moving up to your spleen chakra change the color to orange, moving up to the solar plexus change to yellow, green for the heart, blue for the throat, violet for the third eye, and white for your crown chakra. You may feel the energy moving through your body. Your energy field or aura will be much clearer when you do this. Remember to de-cord whenever you have a negative interaction with someone, and try to set up a regular schedule that you are comfortable with.
